Kiveton
Park FC County
Associaton Sheffield & Hallamshire

Club History
Kiveton
park had a football club ever since the former colliery
opened in the 19th century. Teams played in the old
Yorkshire League and were founder members of the Northern
Counties East Meague. relegation saw them join the Central
midlands League at the start of the 1990's. When the
colliery closed in 1994 Kiveton lost it's football club
and major financiar. The following season our current
chairman David Carswell got a team of young lads together
to play football in the Sports and Athletic League(Sheffield).
We were called The Waleswood. In our first season we
won the League cup and became runners up in the league.
Seven of the squad represented Sheffield in a rep game
against huddersfield. The following season 1999-2000
we were approached by Worksop town to become their A
side playing in the Central midlands reserve League.
Season 2000-01 saw kiveton Park Football club remerge
with the help of Mr frank harwood asking us to join
the Central Midlands Premier Division. Season 2002-03
saw us gain promotion to the Supreme Division when we
became runners up to Pelican FC. That season we also
won the Sportsman Trophy for the premier Division. Season
2003-04 saw us finish 12th after a incredible 15 draws,
so we became known as the draw specialists.
